summer treats

Woo it's going to be a hot day today, the high is supposed to be 86 degrees!! Well I signed up to volunteer at Emilee and Sean's school for their Field Day, and it is today! I should stay pretty cool though, because I am helping out with the sponge relay, that means I will definitely be getting wet! I put together these ice pops for the kids to pass out to all their classmates as an end of the year goodbye! I just tied 2 ice pops together with curling ribbon and added a  COOL tag. These should cool the kids off after all the Field Day FUN!!

fruit pizza

I just have to share a picture of the dessert I made last night.
It's so easy to make! All you need is a brownie mix, and bake it in a round pizza pan. Cool completely! For the icing all it is is 1 8oz cream cheese softened and a small jar of marshmallow fluff(I think it was 7oz) Then top with fresh fruit anyway you want! I tried to make mine look like a kaleidoscope!
I used the brownie mix, but most of the recipes I've seen used sugar cookie for the crust. My husband is not too fond of sugar cookies, so he is the one who suggested the brownie. It was yummy!!!

 Have a great day !

Box of Sunshine

I have been wanting to make these boxes of sunshine for a while now. But didn't really know who I would give one to.
Well I found out this week is Teacher Appreciation week. So I decided to make Emilee and Sean's teachers a box full of sunshine.
I went shopping for yellow things... I found lots of things as you can see. I even found no tie shoelaces in yellow at the five below store. I used to have those in almost every color, they were so much fun.
I hope this brightens their day!

Here is a picture of what's  inside:
I lined a box with yellow tissue paper and arranged all my yellow finds neatly inside.

I covered the outside of the box with yellow cardsock . I wrote a note on top then tied yellow ribbon around it and stuck a yellow flower on.

And here they are:
Thanks to all the Teachers out there! You all are very appreciated!

Kylie got her poster and she loved it! Her mom took a few pictures of her with it.
She can't wait to take the poster to school and show her friends and teachers.

Here she is...

We call them "Prolos"

I made one of my favorite snacks to share with  my sprapbooking buddies this weekend.
We call'em PROLOS!! (saw them on Pinterest if you can believe that). Just a small pretzel topped with a rolo and bake for 3-5 min.(until rolos are shinny) then push a pecan on top and Wha La!!! You have a pop-able sweet-salty tasting snack, YUMMY! So super easy!

Have a Great Weekend!
