Scrapbooking Buttons!

Well I was browsing through pinterest(what a surprise) and came across this page and I just new I wanted to do one just like it.  http://pinterest.com/pin/63120832246969386/
My mother-in-law loves buttons so we have lots and lots of buttons and of course I had to go to Joann Fabrics to get a few extra. LOL We can never have too many buttons!

After I made the first one I really liked the way it came out, so I went ahead and made a second one. I will tell you they are quite time consuming but in the end you have a very bright and awesome page!
You'll need lots of buttons, and lots of zots (glue dots)!

Here they are!

I'm really loving scrapbooking with buttons now!
Here are a few other pages I used buttons on.

This one is too funny! He has his sisters tutu on his head. LOL:

Have a great day!

Kylie's Poster

Last week my niece(Kylie) who is 5 and lives in Arizona called me and asked if I would make her a poster for her Preschool Graduation. Of course I said yes, and asked her about the details, remember she is only 5. She said "It could be ANYTHING  you want like, pickles, strawberries, hotdogs, butterflies, rainbows, flowers and Shamu, Oh and don't forget glitter." She is so adorable.
After that description I'm thinking the poster should be about KYLIE and the things she likes. So I checked with her mother and I was pretty much right.
So this is what I came up with.

What do you think? Does it look kinda like a rainbow?
Looks like I should've turned the flash off on the camera. Well maybe after it arrives in Arizona, her Mommy can take a picture for me of Kylie holding it, that would be awesome. I hope she likes it :-

YUM!!!

Hi All,

I think I am getting the hang of things.

I took a few pictures of dinner tonight (Tuna Melts)so I could share a few pictures on my NEW blog.

Found the recipe on Pinterest, but I changed it up a bit. Ian doesn't like chick peas so I put peas and black olives in his. If you like Tuna these are awesome! You should try'em!!

Ingredients

  • 1 can solid white tuna in water, drained ( I used the albacore white pouch)
  • 1 cup canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained or frozen peas, rinsed under cold water
  • 1 tbsp reduced fat mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1tsp garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  •  2  pitas
  • 2 cups baby spinach
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • sprinkle of Parmesan cheese
  • one diced roma tomato

 Direction
  1. Preheat oven to 425F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix tuna, chickpeas or peas, mayonnaise, and all of the pepper.
  3. mix garlic powder and olive oil and brush on both sides of pitas.Place the pitas on the baking sheet. Divide spinach among the pitas, then spread the tuna mixture overtop.
  4. Add tomatoes then Sprinkle cheeses on top of each pita and bake until cheese has melted, 8 to 10 min.
  5. Cut each pita into wedges, we used a pizza cutter.
